CONFEDERATE COMMAND
The Confederate adjunct of the SWCWA is composed of three distinct military units. Two of these are infantry units the 1st Texas Infantry and the 5th Texas Infantry and the 1st Texas Light Artillery. Each of these units played a critical role in the actions which took place in the New Mexico Territory and the ultimate aided in prompting the formation of the Arizona Territory in 1863.
Our units faithfully portray the members of these units at various living history events and venues in Arizona, Nevada, California and New Mexico. Additionally, many of our members travel across the country attending large national living history events and making presentations to hundreds of spectators.
